My 2014 highlights

Happy 31st Everyone! As this year ends today, I have for you the last part of my 2014 favorites. This time, I summed up the most influential trends, designers, campaigns...

1. The YEAR OF "NORMCORE"

"Normcore" has been here for some decades now, but it was developed as a term only last year in October by the trend agency K-Hole. It´s main idea is that you rather fit in than stand out. Denim trousers, plain t-shirts, comfy sweaters, hoodies and label-free designs are the main characteristics of the most widespread trend. But be careful, this doesn´t mean that you don´t care, what you wear! Just patiently choose the correct items...

2. SHORT HAIR & BANGS

On the runways, red carpets, parties, editorials, absolutely everywhere ... This beauty trend´s become too infectious and so almost each, who was willing to cut her long hair, didn´t hesitate a lot and followed the most influential hairstyle trend of this year...

3. HOT MAMAS

I feel like this phrase perfectly describes two of the best dressed pregnant celebrities of this year. Kourtney Kardashian and Blake Lively are the perfect examples of how a woman can maintain her style during those nine months...

4. CHANEL´S YEAR

From its revolutionary Spring/Summer 2015 fashion show to the amazing Metiers d´arts one, Chanel created a masterpiece and presented us not only its designs for the upcoming season, but also a deeper message and history of this brand.

5. KIMYE WEDDING, FIRTS VOGUE COVER & KENDALL´S MODELING CAREER

No doubt that the Kardashian-Jenner clan is becoming even more powerful in the fashion world. It all started in April, when everyone was so surprised with Kimye´s first Vogue cover. Of course they were wearing wedding attire. That was the main reason, why everyone was so desperate to see Kim´s wedding dress. Even the change of the location of their wedding (from Paris to Florence) contributed to the fact that it was the most watched wedding of the year. And the rest of this famous family wasn´t left behind, too. This year we have seen one of the fastest career movements ever, when Kendall Jenner walked almost each one of the most famous fashion shows as Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy or Dolce & Gabbana.

6. ALEXANDER WANG X H&M

One of the greatest cooperations of the brand H&M! Firstly, I was so disappointed with all of the stuff that Alexander Wang designed for this collaboration. However, everyday I´m convincing myself that it was one of the most timeless collections...

7. THE MOST POWERFUL DESIGNER OF THE YEAR

For me it´s definitely Olivier Rousteing and Balmain. He´s been the creative director of this brand for only three years now, but since then Balmain´s become one of the best fashion houses in the world. With his star-studded campaigns, fashion shows, which featured Rihanna, Kimye, Naomi, Rosie or Joan, and mostly with his original designs, Olivier brought a much needed fresh-take on the brands aesthetics.
